Seiko 5 Sports Automatic Blue Dial Stainless Steel Men’s Watch SNZH53K1
Seiko 5 Sports Fifty Fathoms SNZH53K1 Automatic Blue Dial Mens, named after the iconic Blancpain diver of the same name, this Seiko 5 Sports Automatic ‘Fifty Fathoms’ Blue Dial Silver Stainless Steel Men’s Watch is another great addition to the 5 sports range. Starting with the dial, the ever present Seiko 5 logo can be located just below the 12 o’clock index with a day and date display taking the place of the 3 o’clock index. Silver coloured hands and indexes are powered by a 23 jewel automatic movement and a 7S36B calibre engine. The timepiece comes with a dark blue bezel placed on a stainless steel case with the dial being protected by a robust hardlex crystal glass. To finish of the watch, a silver stainless steel bracelet is secured by a three fold clasp controlled by a push button release.
This timepiece has a water resistance of 100 metres, making it suitable for swimming and snorkelling but should not be submerged to any depths.

The Family:
The Seiko 5 family has set the standard in affordable, rugged and stylish watches since 1963. They incorporate simplicity, but seriousness. The name of the Seiko 5 derives from its five key attributes, which Seiko promised to include in every watch that belonged to the family. They are: automatic winding, displaying the day and date in a single window, water resistance, a recessed crown at the 4 o’clock position and a durable metal bracelet.
1963 marked the year that the Seiko 5 acted as a catalyst in the horological revolution in automatic watchmaking. Even after being in the market for over 50 years, albeit the Seiko 5 remains as cool and relevant as ever. Though this serves as proof that expert craftsmanship and elegant design will never go out of fashion.
The Brand: Seiko
Ceaseless determination to innovate in every aspect of the watchmaker’s art is what defines Seiko’s 135-year history. By embracing this ethos, Seiko has been responsible for a string of industry-leading advances in the technology of time. Notably, the creation of the world’s first quartz watch in 1969. Or equally impressive the creation of the world’s first TV watch in 1982. And even more relevant today, with our abhorrent use of non-renewable energy sources, Seiko’s Kinetic. This watch had the ability to generate its own power from the movement of the wearer, it was released in 1988. The listed technological developments serve as evidence to illustrate the revolutionary impact which Seiko has had on the watchmaking world. They are also remarkably unique in that they manufacture every aspect of every watch in-house.
