The case is crafted from stainless steel that has been treated to an elegant polished finish. A gasket crown is present at 3 o’clock, it has been embossed with a red Mondaine logo. The quality of this Mondaine model is underscored by the addition of sapphire crystal glass, which is an extremely scratch resistant and strong material commonly found on luxury watches.
The Dial:
The understated and refined design of the Mondaine Swiss Railways clock has been translated directly onto the dial. It is a simple and clear motif that draws inspiration from Bauhaus style. It consists of bold black handset and hour markers that allow for greater legibility. A black-60 minute track intersperses the hour markers. Mondaine’s signature red paddle seconds hand provides the watch with an unmistakable identity. The Mondaine logo sits beneath the 12 o’clock mark.
