Victorinox Swiss Army I.N.O.X Professional Diver Blue Dial Blue Rubber Bracelet Mens Watch 241734 RRP £479
The Case:
The Victorinox I.N.O.X Professional Diver 241734 is characterised by its chunky design and bulky dimensions. For instance, the case measures at 45mm in width, 13mm in height, providing this watch with its indisputable presence on the wrist and it guarantees readability even at the murkiest depts. The stainless steel case is almost entirely brushed, which is most likely because of its scratch resistance qualities. This idea is further reinstated by the fact that the case has been coated in DLC, which is an anti scratch coating. This timepiece is the only Swiss watch to withstand 130 extreme endurance homologation tests.
Nonetheless, the most alluring aesthetic feature of the case is the deep bevel cuts found on the unidirectional bezel, they display the ten minute increments. Moreover, whilst most of the hexagonal bevel is brushed, the bevel cuts have been highly polished. This gives the watch a sporty look, that is similar to the contrasted polishing and brushing found on the bezel of the Patek Philippe Nautilus. Moreover, much of the watch’s girth can be be attributed to sizeable crown and crown guard that surrounds it. The crown has been embossed with the Victorinox logo.
On the flip side there is an open case back that allows the wearer to view the inner mechanisms of the watch. This displays the winding rotor that is signed with the familiar Swiss Army logo. Sapphire crystal glass has been used on the case back to ensure for maximum protection against scratches and shattering, likewise it has been used on the front of the case too.
The Dial:
The minimalistic blue dial has a sleek aesthetically pleasing appeal. Additionally, depth is provided through the rehaut. It features a multi layered design that is home to a white minute track that runs around the edge of the dial. It allows for greater legibility when viewing the watch from wider angles. By the same token additional depth is bestowed upon the dial through the inclusion of deep white applied hour markers. They are extremely pleasing on the eye due to them being highly polished. Another elegant addition to the dial is the Victorinox logo that replaces the 12 o’clock mark. The hands of the watch are also typically chunky. They are polished and are filled with lume which allows for visibility in low light. A date window is also positioned between the 4 and 5 o’clock index.
The Bracelet:
Furthermore, the blue strap is made from highly resilient genuine rubber. This is perfect for those who partake in sporting or outdoors activities, as it is water proof, easy to wash and extremely comfortable. It is so resilient that it can handle a ten metre drop and it has been tried and tested, as it was driven over by a 64-ton tank. It fastens easily using a standard buckle, with ‘Victorinox’ engraved onto it.
The Functions:
Highly dependable Swiss Ronda caliber 715 quartz movement powers this versatile watch. Dependability and reliability are the core principles that run through this watch and the quartz movement certainly alludes to this. It is water resistant up to 200 metres, so that is suitable for the purpose of diving. Moreover, it is the only Swiss watch certified to withstand 130 extreme endurance homologation tests.

The Brand: Victorinox
Victorinox Swiss Army is defined by the spirit of innovation and sustainability. Responsibly meeting the needs of the present – and ensuring that future generations will be able to meet theirs – requires innovative thinking of an unprecedented scale.
Robustness, durability and quality are the key requests. The brand first came to fruition in 1884 when Karl Elsener opened a cutlery workshop in Ibach, with the support of his mother Victoria.
The union is founded with the company supplying soldiers knives, which would later be famously known as the Swiss army knife. Following the death of his mother the brand became known as Victorinox, combining his mothers name and the word ‘inox’, an abbreviation for the French word inoxydable or stainless.
In 1989 the brand first launched its first watch collection produced in Biel, Switzerland. Today, the brand is built upon four key values; quality, functionality, innovation & iconic design.
