The Case:
The Victorinox Alliance 241826 measures at 44mm in diameter and 12mm in height. The case is crafted from high-grade brushed stainless steel. It features a screw down crown besides the 3 o'clock mark and two further push buttons, which provide access to the watch’s features. The fixed, bevelled bezel is home to the tachymeter readings that display fuel lbs, litres, lbs, kg, us gal, and oil lbs, which harks back to the watch’s pilot-based roots. This piece also features a bidirectional inner rotating bezel, which also displays tachymeter readings. The inner bezel is operated using the crown which is found on the right side of the case. A triple coated anti reflective, scratch resistant, sapphire crystal protects the dial.
The Dial:
The black dial of the timepiece is home to several eye-catching features and numerous sub dials. Lume painted and raised, applied indicies shaped like Swiss Army knives are present. The hour, minute and second hands come in a long and elegant style, which are also luminescent. The second hand has a a vibrant red which provides the dial with additional colour and vigour. There are 3 sub dials that display 30-minute, 12 hour, and 60 second measurements. The 12 o'clock marker has been replaced by a Victorinox logo. A date window is also present between the 4 and 5 o'clock marker.
The Strap:
The brown stitched leather strap provides the watch with an authentic vintage feel, it is the perfect accompaniment to the effortlessly cool dial. It also serves a practical purpose, as the soft leather augments unmatched levels of comfort when on the wrist. It fastens using a standard buckle that has ‘Victorinox’ engraved onto it.
The Functions:
Swiss-made quartz movement powers this timepiece that prides itself on its dependability. It also offers hand and automatic winding, as well as a hacking feature. It is water resistant up to 100 metres, so that is suitable for the purpose of snorkelling.
