The Case:
Boldness and strength define this understated timepiece, the Victorinox Alliance 241816 measures at 44mm in diameter and 12mm in height. The brushed circular case is crafted from high-grade stainless steel and it comes equipped with a screw down crown besides the 3 o'clock mark and two further buttons. The fixed, bevelled bezel is home to the tachymeter readings that display fuel lbs, litres, lbs, kg, us gal, and oil lbs, which harks back to the watch’s pilot-based roots. This piece also features a bidirectional inner rotating bezel, which also displays tachymeter readings. The inner bezel is operated using the crown which is found on the right side of the case. A triple coated anti reflective, scratch resistant, sapphire crystal protects the dial.
The Dial:
The black dial of the timepiece is home to several eye-catching features and numerous sub dials. Lume painted and raised, applied indicies shaped like Swiss Army knives are present. The hour, minute and second hands come in a long and elegant style, they too are luminesce. The second hand for the tachymeter is a vibrant red which adds more colour and life to the watch. There are 3 sub dials. These are the 30-minute, 12 hour, and 60 second dials. The 12 o'clock marker has been replaced by a Victorinox logo. A date window is also present between the 4 and 5 o'clock marker.
The Bracelet:
Perhaps the most alluring feature of this timepiece is the oyster style stainless steel bracelet. The contrasting polished and brushed design creates a visual barrier that runs around the entirety of the bracelet. Notably, the oyster style bracelet was made famous by Rolex.
The Functions:
Swiss-made quartz movement powers this timepiece that prides itself on its dependability. It also offers hand and automatic winding, as well as a hacking feature. It is water resistant up to 100 metres, so that is suitable for the purpose of snorkelling.

The Brand: Victorinox

Following the death of his mother the brand became known as Victorinox, combining his mothers name and the word ‘inox’, an abbreviation for the French word inoxydable or stainless.
In 1989 the brand first launched its first watch collection produced in Biel, Switzerland. Today, the brand is built upon four key values; quality, functionality, innovation & iconic design.
