The Case:
The case of the Hamilton Khaki Field H69439363 is a beautiful matte stainless steel case. The diameter is 38mm making it modern and allowing it to comfortably fit a range of wrists. The lug to lug is 47mm. The Khaki Field Mechanical also has drilled lugs, which allows for quick strap changes. The case back bears the Hamilton logo and name, in addition to “Swiss Made”, depth rating.
The Dial:
The dial of the watch is green, which accentuates the arabic numerals and dot markers every five minutes, as well as the white minute marks and further sub ticks to break down each minute/second into five parts. The dial also features the ‘Hamilton’ logo in the same white tone, as well as ‘Khaki Mechanical’ being situated above the 6 o’clock mark. A subtle nod to the watches militaristic roots is the military time feature in the inner ring.There is a date display window situated at 3 o’clock.
It also features stylish syringe hands for both hour and minute, they have a elegant pointer at the ends of each of them. They consist of white lume coating, with a delicate silver polished outline on them, which brings a real spark to them when the light catches them. The bracelet is a real quality feature of this timepiece. It consists of khaki green nato strap, emitting a true militaristic feel. It really complements the whole vintage look of the watch.

Since its foundation in 1892, Hamilton Watch Company have developed a reputation for being a provider of accurate timekeeping. Hence they earned the title of “The Watch of Railroad Accuracy", as a result of their highly accurate pocket watches.
Hamilton earned a place in history, as they found themselves suppliers of watches to the US military in both world wars.The US Naval Lab invited the Hamilton Watch Company to create an American made chrono. There was a shortage of chronos available to the US Government during the First World War.Therefore they had to rely solely on European made pieces.
For this reason Hamilton agreed in 1941 to undertake the work. Moreover, by 1944 Hamilton had produced more than 10,000 Chronometers in aid of the American War effort.
Hamilton have developed a close relationship over the years with Hollywood. Hamilton watches have featured in over 450 films, beginning in 1951 with the Frogman watch. Other films include: Elvis Presley in 1961’s 'Blue Hawaii' and in '2001: A Space Odyssey'. Furthermore, Hamilton have featured films such as 'Interstellar' and 'The Martian'.
In 2003 Hamilton moved their headquarters to a facility in Switzerland. They are still a global force within the timepiece industry, this is because Hamilton watches offer a combination of American heritage, Swiss internal workings and a touch of Hollywood flair.
