Hamilton American Classic Limited Edition PSR MTX Digital Dial Stainless Steel Bracelet Mens Watch H52434130
The well-loved American Classic style from Hamilton was originally a design that first appeared in 1970, when Hamilton released it as the world’s first digital watch to a disbelieving audience. Over 50 years later, after numerous collaborations and features in movies, Hamilton is proud to present the Limited Edition PSR MTX Watch H52434130 to mark the release of the new Matrix film.
In 1999, the Matrix blew people’s minds, asking them to choose a safe but false future or to enter a dangerous reality and a fight for freedom. The saga continues with its 3rd film, ‘The Matrix Resurrections’ with Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Ann Moss reprising their iconic roles as Neo and Trinity.
Join the ranks of Neo, Trinity, Morpheus and more with a style that stands out in any reality with the Hamilton PSR MTX. Limited to 1,999 pieces in honor of the original film’s premiere, the sleek, all-black timepiece celebrates the return to the Matrix with green LCD numerals and the movie’s immediately recognizable digital rain pattern inscribed on the case back and on the watch’s special packaging.
Inspired by a digital universe synonymous with challenging the status quo, the limited-edition watch is ready to lead us into tomorrow.
The Case:
The case of the Hamilton American Classic PSR MTX Watch H52434130 carries the traditional rectangle with curved edge style that can be seen in the original Hamilton American Classic PSR. It measures 40,8 x 34.7mm and is made from stainless steel, coated with a black PVD coating. Turning the watch over, the case back features an iconic digital rain décor pattern that film fanatics will appreciate. If you look closely, you will see the brand name, ‘swiss made’, model number, ‘water resistant’ and ‘limited edition’ amongst the symbols.
The Dial:
In contrast to the dark case, the digital LCD dial has a dark green hue and OLED hybrid display. The Liquid Crystal Display allows the watch to be visible at any time during the day. On the other hand, the Organic Light Emitting Diodes can be used by pressing the button on the side of the case, bringing up high-contrast numerals in the classic dot style. These displays mean that there is no need for a back-light bringing the energy consumption of the quartz movement right down. The glass is sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating as well.
The Bracelet:
The bracelet is also crafted from stainless steel with a black PVD coating. The bracelet has a lug width of 24mm which complements the rounded case well. Also, the bracelet can be fastened using a folding clasp to sit comfortably around your wrist.

The Brand:
Since its foundation in 1892, Hamilton Watch Company have developed a reputation for being a provider of accurate timekeeping. Hence they earned the title of “The Watch of Railroad Accuracy”, as a result of their highly accurate pocket watches.
Hamilton earned a place in history, as they found themselves suppliers of watches to the US military in both world wars. The US Naval Lab invited the Hamilton Watch Company to create an American made chrono. There was a shortage of chronos available to the US Government during the First World War. Therefore they had to rely solely on European made pieces. For this reason Hamilton agreed in 1941 to undertake the work. Moreover, by 1944 Hamilton had produced more than 10,000 Chronometers in aid of the American War effort.
Hamilton have developed a close relationship over the years with Hollywood. Hamilton watches have featured in over 450 films, beginning in 1951 with the Frogman watch. Other films include: Elvis Presley in 1961’s ‘Blue Hawaii’ and in ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’. Furthermore, Hamilton have featured in films such as ‘Interstellar’ and ‘The Martian’.
In 2003 Hamilton moved their headquarters to a facility in Switzerland. They are still a global force within the timepiece industry. This is because Hamilton watches offer a combination of American heritage, Swiss internal workings and a touch of Hollywood flair.
