The Story
Dragon Ball Z is recognised as one of the most successful Japanese anime television series, To celebrate legacy, have released a collection of seven es is a villain with many skills, including being able to make his adversary into a cookie and absorb their powers. The Buu Gent watch has a black on the yellow dial, taking inspiration from Majin Buu's gold belt. The purple and pink underside of the watch details the larger form of Buu’s cape and belly.
The Case
The Dragon Ball Z Majin Buu GZ358 features a compact 34mm case made of durable plastic. The solid black case serves as the perfect frame for an otherwise colourful watch. At the 3 oclock position is a crown. The case also utilises plexiglass to provide protections to the dial against shattering.
The Dial
The pop of yellow featured on the dial is inspired from Majin Buu's gold belt. It even has a black on the dial that represents the evil symbol known as the Majin Mark just like the design on his belt in the series. The simple black and white minute and hour hands play nicely into the design of the dial and feature luminous paint to be able to tell the time in the dark. The red dot on the seconds hand adds a nice pop of colour to the watch.
The Strap
No detail has been overlooked on this watch. This is most evident when looking at the underside of the strap that has a purple and pink hue to pay homage to the cape and belly. Flipping things back over, the top half of the strap at the 12 oclock position is pink to match tones, and the bottom half at the 6 oclock position is white with a design to mimic the character pants. The keepers proudly display the character’s name in English on the top and in Japanese on the reverse. The keeper’s underside also has the Dragon Ball Z logo.
The Functions:
The Dragon Ball Z Majin Buu GZ358 is powered by a quartz movement. The watch is also water resistant to 30 meters, which means that it should not be exposed to anything more than light splashes of water.
