The Case:
The overall design of this case is the quintessential classic everyday watch. It is made from stainless steel and it measures 41mm in width, which means that it can sit comfortably on a wide range of wrists. The majority of the case has been treated to a brushed finish, with the exception of the fixed bezel that has been polished; this contrast in finishing creates a visual barrier that draws attention to the watch’s smooth circular dimensions. Positioned at the side of the case beside the 3 o’clock marker is a push/pull crown that is protected by a crown guard, which prevents the crown from being knocked out of place. Additional protection is provided through the mineral glass which is significantly resistant to scratches.
The Dial:
The layout of the black dial is uncomplicated and elegant. It exhibits silver baton-style hour markers and a baton-style handset. The handset has been filled with a luminescent material, which ensures that the dial can be read in the dark. Located inside of the 3 o’clock marker is a day-date display window that has a silver frame. Lastly, the Sekonda logo is printed in silver underneath the 12 o’clock marker.
The Bracelet:
The design of the bracelet is also prototypical as it is fashioned in a 3-link oyster style, which is the most typically found style of metal bracelet. The bracelet has been treated to a combination of brushed and polished finishes, which complements the design of the case. It fastens through the use of a fold over deployment clasp.
The Functions:
This timepiece is powered by Japanese made quartz mechanism, ensuring that it remains reliable and accurate. It has a water resistance rating of 30 metres, which means it should not be exposed to anything more than light splashes of water.
