The Case:
Sekonda Blue Mens Watch 1986 Sports Quartz Rubber Strap is a robust timepiece that is simple, yet effective. The circular case is made from black ion-plated stainless steel that has been treated to a polished finish. It measures 45mm in diameter and it is topped with a black bezel that displays a white 60-minute scale, as well as a lume pip at the 12 o’clock marker. The sides of the bezel are coined, which means that it can be easily gripped. A push/pull crown that is positioned beside the 3 o’clock marker. Mineral crystal glass is used which provides the watch with superlative levels of protection from scratches and shattering.
The Dial:
The design of the matte blue dial is reminiscent of those found on other classic dive watches, as it is conventionally uncomplicated and easy to read. Around the edge of the dial there is a combination of different styles of white hour marker, which is a feature commonly found on dive watches. A white 60-minute track is also present around the outermost edge of the dial. A small date-display window is positioned neatly beside the 3 o’clock marker. The bold pencil style handset has a luminescent filling which ensures that the dial can be read in the dark. The Sekonda logo is presented in white underneath the 12 o’clock marker.
The Strap:
The watch comes featured on a blue rubber strap, which is an ideal material for dive watches due to their water resistant qualities. It fastens through the use of a standard clasp.
The Functions:
Japanese made quartz mechanisms power this timepiece, ensuring that it remains reliable and accurate. It has a water resistance rating of 50 metres, which means it can be worn when swimming in shallow waters.
