The Case
Sekonda Aviation Men’s Watch 1627 Quartz Blue Dial Blue Leather Strap proudly sits with a modern 45mm case and relatively thin 12mm case height, this attractive watch is the perfect dimensions for today’s wearer. The stainless steel case ensures maximum durability and is perfect for daily use. This Sekonda 1627 features a mineral glass to protect the dial. The slim bezel surrounding the glass is notched to provide a nice level of detail to the watch and adds to its utilitarian design.
The Dial
The standout feature of the Sekonda Mens Watch 1627 watch has got to be the rich blue sunburst dial. The styling is reminiscent of a pilot’s chronograph, but instead the subdials found at the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions tell a different story. They creatively display the day of the week, the date and the time on a 24 hour display. The deep black subdials provide nice contrast and create a nice ‘panda dial’ aesthetic. The red seconds hand leaps off the dial and provides ultimate legibility against the busy dial. The thick applied hour markers raise off the dial to provide ultimate legibility. It also features minute markers that surround the outside of the dial with miles per hours marking on the outside playing into the sporty feel of the watch. Finishing off the dial is a black chapter ring with a tachometer scale further demonstrating that this is a technically designed watch that managed to have a busy yet stylish design.
The Strap
The watch comes featured on a leather strap that is presented in royal blue with contrasting white stitching. The strap features a crocodile style pattern and it fastens through the use of a standard buckle.
