The Case:
This Casio Edifice EFR-574DB-3AVUEF features a robust brushed stainless steel case that measures 42.3mm in diameter. It exhibits a black fixed bezel that displays a tachymeter scale. This can be used to measure speed based on time travelled over a fixed distance. At the side of the case there is a screw down crown at 3 o’clock that is protected by a crown guard. Surrounding the crown at 2 and 4 o’clock are two push-buttons that provide the wearer with access to the chronograph functions. This timepiece also features sharp angular lugs and sapphire crystal which provides the watch with superlative protection against scratches and shattering.
The Dial:
The green analogue dial exhibits a chronograph layout, meaning it features additional dial complications that can be used to measure and displays elapsed time, that can assist in timing events or intervals. It consists of three sub-dials at 6, 9 and 12 o’clock that exhibit a 60-second display, a 12-hour display and a 60-minute display. Around the edge of the dial there are luminescent baton-style hour markers. At the outermost edge of the dial there is a chapter ring that exhibits a 60-minute scale. Beside the 3 o’clock marker there is a day-date display window and the Casio edifice logo.
The Bracelet:
The watch is presented on an oyster-style 3-link stainless steel bracelet that has been treated to a brushed finish. It fastens through the use of a three fold clasp that is signed with the Casio logo.
The Functions:
This timepiece is powered by quartz mechanisms, which provides it with an accuracy of +/- 20 seconds per month and a battery life of 5 years. It also features a stopwatch function and a water resistance of 100 metres, which means that it can be worn when snorkelling.
