The Case:
Seiko 5 Automatic SNKK98K1 Gold Dial Gold PVD Mens Watch has a case measuring 38mm diameter. The design of the watch is simplistic and conventional, however it is accentuated by the golden PVD finish. A recessed screw down crown is present besides the 4 o’clock marker, which allows the watch to sit comfortably upon the wrist without the crown digging in. Both the watch’s open case back and the front of it are protected by highly durable hardlex crystal glass.
The Dial:
The gold dial utilises an uncomplicated layout which ensures that the dial always remains easily readable. It exhibits a sunburst design and gold framed baton-style hour markers that are filled with Seiko’s lumibrite material which ensures the dial can be read in the dark. Likewise there is a gold framed baton style handset that has also been filled in with lumibrite material. A day-date display window replaces the 3 o’clock marker.
The Bracelet:
The gold bracelet of the watch is made from 3-link stainless steel that has been treated to a brushed finish. It features a push down clasp, allowing the wearer to easily remove the watch. The clasp is also engraved with a Seiko 5 logo.
The Functions:
Seiko’s exclusive 7S26 calibre automatic movement powers this watch, it consists of 21 jewels and it offers an accuracy of -20/+40 seconds per day as well as a power reserve of 41 hours. This watch has a water resistance of 30 metres, meaning it should only be exposed to light splashes of water.
