Since its foundation in 1892, Hamilton Watch Company have developed a reputation for being a provider of accurate timekeeping. Hamilton earned a place in history, as they found themselves suppliers of watches to the US military in both world wars. The US Naval Lab invited the Hamilton Watch Company to create an American made chrono. There was a shortage of chronos available to the US Government during the First World War. Moreover, by 1944 Hamilton had produced more than 10,000 Chronometers in aid of the American War effort. Hamilton have developed a close relationship over the years with Hollywood.
