Since its foundation in 1892, Hamilton Watch Company have developed a reputation for being a provider of accurate timekeeping, hence they earned the title of “The Watch of Railroad Accuracy", as a result of their highly accurate pocket watches. Hamilton earned a place in history, as they found themselves suppliers of watches to the US military in both world wars.The US Naval Lab invited the Hamilton Watch Company to create an American made chrono. There was a shortage of chronographs available to the US Government during the First World War.
