The Orient RA-AA0E03L19B World Map Revival is a modern reinterpretation of one of Orient’s most distinctive historical designs, reviving the spirit of the original 1969 World Map model with updated specifications and contemporary mechanical performance. Part of the Revival collection, the watch combines vintage travel-inspired aesthetics with practical everyday functionality, creating a uniquely recognisable design that stands apart within Orient’s catalogue.
Its 43.5mm stainless steel case retains the bold proportions and retro styling cues of the original model while incorporating modern durability and finishing. The blue gradation dial is the defining visual feature of the watch, specially processed to create a spherical effect beneath the curved crystal, representing the Earth as viewed from space. The world map motif stretches across the dial surface, paying tribute to the original 1969 design while giving the watch a striking travel-inspired identity. The polished stainless steel bracelet features solid links and a trifold deployant clasp with push-button release, offering both comfort and durability for everyday wear.
In keeping with the original World Map concept, the watch includes an internal rotating bezel operated via the additional crown positioned at 4 o’clock. This feature allows for a simplified 24-hour display, reinforcing the travel-oriented functionality that defined the historic model. Alongside the world map dial, the watch also features day and date displays positioned at 3 o’clock, luminous hands and markers for improved visibility, and a curved crystal that enhances the vintage-inspired presentation.
Powering the RA-AA0E03L19B is Orient’s in-house Calibre F6922 automatic movement, offering automatic winding, hand-winding capability, and hacking seconds functionality for precise time setting. The movement provides over 40 hours of power reserve and reflects Orient’s longstanding expertise in reliable Japanese mechanical watchmaking. The watch also features a screw caseback, magnetic resistance compliant with JIS Type 1 standards, and an impressive 200 metres of water resistance, giving the watch genuine everyday robustness despite its vintage-inspired styling.
