The Case:
The Victorinox I.N.O.X Professional Diver 241781 is characterised by its chunky design and bulky dimensions. For instance, the case measures at 45mm in width, 15mm in height, providing this watch with its indisputable presence on the wrist and it guarantees readability even at the murkiest depts. The stainless steel case is almost entirely brushed, which is most likely because of its scratch resistance qualities. Likewise, this is made more prominent by the fact that the case has been coated in DLC, which is an anti scratch coating. This timepiece is the only Swiss watch to withstand 130 extreme endurance homologation tests.
Nonetheless, the most alluring aesthetic feature of the case is the deep bevel cuts present on the unidirectional bezel, they display the ten minute increments. Moreover, whilst most of the hexagonal bevel is brushed, the bevel cuts have been highly polished. This gives the watch a sporty look, that is similar to the contrasted polishing and brushing found on the bezel of the Patek Philippe Nautilus. Moreover, much of the watch’s girth can is down to the to sizeable crown and crown guard that surrounds it. The crown features the Victorinox logo.
On the flip side there is an open case back that allows the wearer to view the inner mechanisms of the watch. This displays the winding rotor that features the familiar Swiss Army logo. Sapphire crystal glass has been used on the case back to ensure for maximum protection against scratches and shattering, likewise it has been used on the front of the case too.
The Dial:
The minimalistic black dial has a sleek aesthetically pleasing appeal. Additionally, depth is provided through the rehaut. It features a multi layered design that is home to a white minute track that runs around the edge of the dial. It allows for greater legibility when viewing the watch from wider angles. By the same token additional depth is bestowed upon the dial through the inclusion of deep white applied hour markers. They are extremely pleasing on the eye due to them being highly polished. Another elegant addition to the dial is the Victorinox logo that replaces the 12 o’clock mark. The hands of the watch are also typically chunky. They are polished and are filled with lume which allows for visibility in low light. Additionally, the dial has a magnified effect for increased visibility. A date window is also visible between the 4 and 5 o’clock index.
The Bracelet:
Furthermore, the patented stainless steel bracelet is one of many outstanding features belonging to this watch, it is anti-corrosive and it is fit with a diver extension to fit safely over a wetsuit. It consists a fully brushed, H-style link design that allows for a fantastic level of flexibility, as a result it permits unparalleled levels of comfort found in watches with similar dimensions. Consequently, the brushing of the steel makes for an exceptionally resistant bracelet. The fold over clasp of the bracelet has ‘Victorinox’ engraved onto it.
The Functions:
Highly dependable Swiss Ronda caliber 715 quartz movement powers this versatile watch. It is an ISO 6425 certified diver watch that offers anti-magnetism. It is water resistant up to 200 metres, so that is suitable for the purpose of diving.
