The Case:
The blue dial is housed inside a silver stainless steel case.The back of the case features a screwed design which means that the watch’s water-resistance is ensured over a longer time. The crown, of which can be seen at the 3 o’clock position, then screws into the thread of the tube and gaskets are fitted to further enhance water-resistance. All in all, the case measures at a diameter of 37.7mm which complements the sleek height of just 7.3mm. Sat inline with the case is plexiglass which allows for both a clear view and a resistance to any potential knocks and bumps.
The Strap:
The beautiful brown horse leather strap complements the dial and case well, making for a stylish addition to your wrist. The strap can be easily fastened using a stainless steel buckle according to your size and taste.
The Dial:
The sun-ray brush blue dial design is so called due to its likeness to the sun striking the dial. Silver markers are seen displaying the hours around the edge of the dial. Sat just below the 12 o’clock index is the ever present Junghans logo with a small seconds sub-dial seen at 6 o'clock.
The Functions:
The silver steel hour and minute hands are powered by a hand winding movement, which is achieved by manually spinning the crown. The module in particular used is J815.1 which is known for its long life of 42 hours and reliability. As mentioned, due to the screw down design the watch has a water resistance of 30 metres, making it suitable for light splashes.
