The Case:
The Victorinox Airboss Mach 9 24170 has a diameter of 45mm, the silver case has been sandblasted which makes for a pleasant matte, and smooth finish. Interestingly, the crown and push buttons are situated on the left side of the case, which distinguishes this model apart from other conventional watches. The fixed, bezel is home to the tachymeter readings that display fuel lbs, liters, lbs, kg, us gal, and oil lbs, which harks back to the watch's pilot based roots. This piece also features a bidirectional inner rotating bezel, which also displays tachymeter readings. The inner bezel is operated using the crown which is found on the right side of the case. A triple coated anti reflective, scratch resistant, sapphire crystal protects the dial.
The Dial:
The black dial of the timepiece is home to a number of eye-catching features and numerous sub dials. Given that the watch is a pilot style model, legibility remains central to its design. Hence why lume painted and raised, applied Arabic numerals are present. The hour, minute and second hands come in a Cathedral style, they too are luminesce. The second hand for the tachymeter is a vibrant red which adds more color and life to the watch. There are 3 sub dials. These are the 30 minute, 12 hour, and 60 second dials. Both the 12 and 6 o'clock mark have been replaced with lume dots.
The Strap:
The brown leather strap provides the watch with a rustic feel, and this is very much reaffirmed by the cream stitching that runs throughout the edge of it. It also augments maximum wearer comfort, as it is extremely soft and flexible. It fastens using a standard buckle.
The Functions:
This watch is powered by a mechanical automatic movement (ETA 7750) that offers hand winding, and also hacking. It offers an astounding 48-hour power reserve and the movement is visible through the open case back. It is water resistant up to 100 metres making it suitable for snorkelling.

The Brand: Victorinox
