about orient watches
HISTORY OF ORIENT
Orient began making watches in Japan in 1950, with Orient Watch Co. established the following year alongside the launch of Orient Star. Since then, the brand has developed its own mechanical movements and a long list of distinctive watches, from early calendar and diving models to the Bambino, Mako and collections sold today.
Now part of Seiko Epson, Orient continues to handle watch development from planning through to manufacturing while keeping mechanical watchmaking at the centre of the brand.
