The Case:
The dial is housed inside a silver stainless steel case. A domed casing emphasises the flat appearance and enhances wear comfort. The back of the case features a screwed design which means that the watch’s water-resistance is ensured over a longer time. The crown, of which can be seen at the 3 o’clock position, then screws into the thread of the tube and gaskets are fitted to further enhance water-resistance. Additionally, the back of the case has an exhibition window which allows you take take a glance into all the intricate parts which work together to make the watch tick. All in all, the case measures at a diameter of 39.3mm which complements the sleek height of just 9.5mm. Sat inline with the case is mineral crystal glass which allows for both a clear view and a resistance to any potential knocks and bumps.
The Strap:
The beautiful black leather strap complements the silver dial and case well, making for a stylish addition to your wrist. The strap can be easily fastened using a stainless steel buckle according to your size and taste.
The Dial:
The imprinted square-shaped minute-track and the concave dial create a striking three-dimensional effect. They are lowered ever so slightly to as suggested, make a whole new dimension to this timepiece. Black Arabic markers are seen displaying the seconds in five step increments around the edge of the dial alongside standard line markers. Sat just below the 12 o’clock index is the ever present Junghans logo with the easy to read date window at 3 o’clock.
The Functions:
The silver steel hour and minute hands are powered by a automatic movement, which is powered solely by the natural notion of your wrist. The caliber in particular used is J800.2 which is known for its long life power reserve of 38 hours and reliability. Also, the hands have a environmentally friendly luminous coating which allows for easy visibility at night. As mentioned, due to the screw down design the watch has a water resistance of 50 metres, making it suitable for surface swimming.
