The Aquastar Benthos 500 II Founder’s Edition marks the return of one of the brand's most sought-after dive watches. Faithful to the dimensions and aesthetics of the original Benthos 500 introduced in 1970, the watch is housed in a 42mm case crafted from 316L stainless steel, measuring 47mm from lug to lug with a reduced height of 15.4mm. The distinctive layout retains the chronograph pusher at 2 o'clock and the crown at 4 o'clock, while the semi-gloss black dial sits beneath a flat sapphire crystal with triple anti-reflective coating. Applied hour markers filled with high-density Super-LumiNova improve visibility in darker conditions, and the unidirectional ceramic bezel features luminous markings for elapsed-time tracking.
Exclusive Centre-Mounted Chronograph
At the heart of the Benthos 500 II Founder’s Edition is the Aquastar Calibre 1MPS, a Swiss-made top-grade movement developed in collaboration with La Joux-Perret. Created exclusively for Aquastar, the calibre revives the centre-mounted 60-minute chronograph display that made the original Benthos a standout among professional dive watches. Alongside the hour, minute and seconds hands, the movement powers the central chronograph counter and delivers a power reserve of approximately 60 hours. Combined with water resistance of up to 200 metres (660 feet), the watch continues Aquastar's tradition of purpose-built underwater instruments.
ISOfrane® Rubber Strap
The Benthos 500 II Founder’s Edition is fitted with a genuine 22mm ISOfrane® rubber strap, a design closely associated with professional diving watches. Combining durability and flexibility, the strap complements the robust character of the case while remaining comfortable on the wrist.
Limited to 300 pieces worldwide, the Founder’s Edition represents Aquastar's most prestigious modern interpretation of the Benthos chronograph.

UK orders placed before 4pm Monday–Friday are dispatched the same day. Orders placed on Saturday or Sunday are dispatched on the following working day.
We are not open during UK bank holidays. Orders received on bank holidays will be dispatched promptly the next working day.

If Import Charges Are Not Paid
For DAP shipments, if local import charges, taxes, duties or courier fees are not paid, or if delivery is refused, the parcel may be returned to us.
In this case, we will refund your order minus:
- The original outbound shipping cost
- Any return shipping fees charged to us
- Any customs, duty, tax or clearance fees billed to us by the courier
