Cestrian Dive Series Black Dial Green Ceramic Bezel Steel Bracelet Automatic 300M Mens Watch

The Case:

When creating the Dive watch, Cestrian reviewed the market to come up with the ideal dimensions and specifications. The results are a watch that measures in with a 42mm case and a thickness under 14mm; hitting that perfect sweet spot between form and function. The case is made out of 316L stainless steel, selected for its high resistance to corrosion and extreme temperatures. Finished with both high polish and brushed sections, it edges the line of being a capable tool watch while still being elegant enough for daily wear. Moving over to the side of the case, the sculpted crown guards serve to protect the crown from any accidental knocks. The screw-down crown at the 3 o’clock position is a must have feature in any dive watch. No detail was overlooked, as this component was turned into a key design feature with a 3D Cestrian shield logo embedded in black resign.

As with all Cestrian watches, the watch has a sapphire crystal to provide scratch resistance. The sapphire glass has also been treated with Anti-Reflective coating to provide maximum legibility. A key component of any dive watch is the diving bezel. Special attention to detail was taken here to make sure the bezel action and grip are class leading. The uni-directional 120-click bezel allows for precision and reliability weather timing your dive or dinner in the oven. No shortcuts in material were taken as the bezel has been made from ceramic for its scratch resistance durability and longevity. The bezel also features a lume pip at the 12 o’clock position. Turning the watch over, you are treated to an exhibition case back allowing the wearer to see the inner workings of the watch, which is a rare feature on a 300M water resistant watch.

The Dial:

The deep black galvanic dial provides a dynamic background that pairs beautifully with the ceramic emerald green bezel. Balancing the line perfectly between classic design with a bold pop of colour. At the 3 o’clock position there is a date display which has been nicely framed in steel to help it stand out at a glance while also maintaining balance on the dial. Round hour markers finished in polished nickel have been used around the dial to provide good legibility. These hour markers have been treated with C3 Super-LumiNova which provides a bright green lume in darkness. An arrow handset finished in polished nickel has been used to match the design of the watch. These hands have also been treated with green C3 Super-LumiNova. The seconds hand features a pop of orange to quickly distinguish it and match with the orange Dive Series written on the dial. The edge of the dial features a sloped chapter ring with minute markers. Proudly sitting below the 12 o’clock markers is the applied 3D Cestrian shield logo.

The Strap:

The Dive Series comes on a 5-link bracelet giving the Series a distinct look. Made out of solid 316L stainless steel and featuring brushed outer links and a polished centre links it pairs up to the watch perfectly. The bracelet features a safety deployment z-clasp with micro-adjustments to provide the perfect fit and added security. The Cestrian logo proudly sits engraved on the claps.

The Functions:

As the name suggest, the Cestrian Dive Series was created with diving in mind. As such it was important to feature 300M of water resistance. This offers peace of mind for anyone wanting to take their Dive Series swimming or diving. The watch is powered by Seiko’s NH35 automatic movement. Selected due to its reliability and strong performance. When fully charged, the movement features a power reserve of 41 hours and is has an accuracy of -20/+40 seconds per day. The movement can be charged by the wearer’s movement due to the bi-directional rotor, as well as manual wound using the crown. The movement also features hacking to precisely set the time.
