This timepiece is inspired by the landscape of the world’s largest marine sanctuary – Antarctica. The shape of this watch is affectionately nicknamed by Seiko fans as a ‘Tuna’ – because of its larger diameter and bold shape like a tuna tin – loved for decades since its release.

The Case:

With a case crafted from stainless steel, the Seiko Prospex Antarctica Tuna “Save the Ocean” is a striking watch with a special aesthetic. The case of this model measures 43.2mm in diameter, meaning the Antarctica Tuna “Save the Ocean” commands attention. The case features a unidirectional rotating bezel that displays a 60-minute scale and a lume-pip at 12 o’clock. The easy-to-grip walls of the bezel contribute greatly to watch distinctive ‘tuna’ can aesthetic.

With distinctive angled lugs, an oversized, screw-down crown has been placed at four o’clock to bring an irreverent touch to what is otherwise a strong, modern watch. The scratch-resistant sapphire crystal serves as a tough dial protector whilst the screw case back adds further rigor to this solid case.
