Seiko Presage Craftsmanship Series Urushi Dial Limited Edition Men’s Watch SPB295J1
The Case:
The Seiko Presage SPB295J1 in a 40.5mm polished stainless steel case, which exhibits a sophisticated, minimalist design that is quintessential of a classic dress watch. The case has a slim profile measuring just 12.8mm in depth, which allows it to fit appropriately under a shirt collar. The case also features a fixed circular bezel and a decorative, embossed crown at 3 o’clock which provides the watch with an understated, elegant look. The case is completed with dual-curved sapphire crystal that is coated with an anti-reflective inner coating. Sapphire crystal is also used on the exhibition caseback, which provides the wearer with an insight into the inner workings of the timepiece.
The Dial:
Kanazawa is the capital of Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan. It is also where Lacquer artist Isshu Tamura produces works using techniques unique to Kanazawa Urushi lacquerware. Through the rich verdant tones of the dial Mr Tamura expresses the beauty of summer in Kanazawa and the Hokuriku region. The green Urushi dial evokes a moss garden and the golden accents capture the sunlight falling through the trees. The sleek, smooth effect on the surface of the dial is created through an innovative manufacturing method that directly combines metal with Urushi and traditional craftwork techniques.
The dial also features thin, elongated baton-style hour markers that are interspersed by a 60-second track. A white handset extends out from the centre of the dial, whilst the second hand is presented in gold. Three subdials are located at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock; showcasing a day display, a date display and a power reserve, respectively.
The Strap:
The SPB259J1 is black leather strap with contrasting cream stitching. The strap fastens through the use of a stainless steel three-fold clasp strap, which features a push-button release.
The Functions:
It is powered by Seiko’s 6R34 automatic movement with manual winding. It offers an accuracy of +25/-15 seconds per day and a power reserve of 45 hours when fully charged. It is composed of 31 jewels. It is limited edition and it has the serial number printed onto the back of the case. It is water resistant to 100 meters, which means it can be worn when snorkelling.

Free Strap Adjustment
It's important that your watch fits your wrist comfortably and looks great at the same time.
Leather strap watches tend to fit without a problem for most wearers. However, watches fitted with metal bracelets often need adjusting to get the perfect fit.
This is generally a very simple procedure. We can do this for you, or you can get the watch adjusted locally.
Option 1. Specify your wrist measurement and we will adjust it before being sent
When purchasing a watch which has a metal bracelet with adjustable links, we will gladly adjust the watch bracelet to fit your wrist before sending the watch to you - free of charge!
Simply type your wrist measurement (in inches or centimetres) into the bracelet size section of the checkout and we will ensure the watch bracelet is adjusted accordingly before being sent to you. We will include all the surplus links, with the watch.
How to measure your wrist
You can measure your wrist with a piece of string which you can measure against a ruler:
You should allow about half a centimetre (1/4 inch) of slack to prevent it being too tight on your wrist.
In the event of you needing an extra-long wrist bracelet, which requires an extension to the original watch, we must obtain extra links from the manufacturer, and in this event, we will contact you to inform you of any possible delays or applicable charges.
Watches with bracelets adjusted by WatchNation are still eligible under our refund policy.
Option 2. Buy the watch online from WatchNation and have it adjusted locally
If you wish, you can have it adjusted locally by another jeweller or key cutter. However, you will have to cover the cost of this option yourself.
