Description

Casio Master of G Rangeman Solar Digital Dial Green Resin Strap Men’s Watch GPR-B1000-1BER RRP £799

From the G-SHOCK Master of G Series designed and engineered for men who face severe natural environments comes a new Triple Sensor RANGEMAN model for those encountering harsh conditions on land.

The Case:

A powerful body that is shock resistant, dust resistant, mud resistant, low temperature resistant, and water resistant truly earns the name Master of G. The foundations for the case come from the carbon core guard structure. Four stainless-steel pipes form a metal frame that join the bezel securely with the case back for increased shock resistance. The crown which can be seen at the 3 o’clock position features two raised guards either side to prevent it from any accidental knocks and grazes. Moreover, the words G-Shock can be seen at the top of the dial with the slogan ‘protection’ at the bottom. All in all the case sits at 60.3 x 57.7 x 20.2mm a large yet capable piece.

The Strap:

The strap is made from high quality resin with a army green design, of which the watch could be used in. It features two details with the labels of ‘navigation system’ and ‘carbon fibre solar powering’ of which will be talked about below. The silver stainless steel buckle has a two pronged design which reduces the likelihood of the strap coming lose in any expeditions. The lug width of the strap is approximately 33mm which fits well with the large case.

The Dial & Functions:

At the time this was the first G-Shock capable of GPS navigation. GPS and a digital compass combine to guide you to your destinations, while the watch tracks your routes and stores way-point information in memory, making this the perfect tool for survival activities. A dual charging system supports both wireless charging and solar charging. GPS functions can be used for 33 hours after about five hours of wireless charging. When the battery reaches a level where GPS is no longer supported, it can be temporarily restored by exposing the watch to high-intensity light for solar charging. Connecting over Bluetooth® to the G-SHOCK Connected app running on a phone greatly expands GPS function performance, allowing you to create routes, display your routes on 3D maps and more.

In terms of the design of the dial it features a black digital display. The display can be illuminated using a full automatic light. In low light, the face will illuminate automatically when you tilt the watch towards yourself. You the wearer can choose the length of illumination between one and a half seconds and three seconds.

The result is a totally new type of G-SHOCK that is designed for advanced function and built for the ultimate in toughness.

The Family: Master of G

Casio’s Master of G family has always been about showcasing the very latest technology Casio has to offer long before it is included in the main G-Shock and Pro Trek lines. No matter what the conditions or the terrain; the wearer can rely on the Master of G series’ innovative features to deliver impressive toughness and unbeatable reliability. The family is designed to be “watches for tough professionals”.

The Brand: Casio

Casio was established in 1946 by Japanese engineer Tadao Kashio. The company entered the timepiece market in 1974 with the release of the Casiotron, the world’s first Auto Calendar watch. Only eleven years after entering this field, Casio completely reshaped global thought about the function a watch should perform with the release of the pioneering and now legendary G-Shock family. Innovation and world firsts have defined the company’s history ever since. Thee most striking of these being the release of the first ever touch screen watch in 1991, 24 years before the Apple Watch, and the first ever wrist camera watch in 2000. In short, Casio was producing smartwatches decades before the term came into use. Add to this the hipster popularity of the company’s retro designs, and Casio has firmly cemented its reputation as a famously reliable and precise name in both analogue and digital watches.

Free Strap Adjustment

It's important that your watch fits your wrist comfortably and looks great at the same time.

Leather strap watches tend to fit without a problem for most wearers. However, watches fitted with metal bracelets often need adjusting to get the perfect fit.

This is generally a very simple procedure. We can do this for you, or you can get the watch adjusted locally.

Option 1. Specify your wrist measurement and we will adjust it before being sent

When purchasing a watch which has a metal bracelet with adjustable links, we will gladly adjust the watch bracelet to fit your wrist before sending the watch to you - free of charge!

Simply type your wrist measurement (in inches or centimetres) into the bracelet size section of the checkout and we will ensure the watch bracelet is adjusted accordingly before being sent to you. We will include all the surplus links, with the watch.

How to measure your wrist

You can measure your wrist with a piece of string which you can measure against a ruler:

You should allow about half a centimetre (1/4 inch) of slack to prevent it being too tight on your wrist.

In the event of you needing an extra-long wrist bracelet, which requires an extension to the original watch, we must obtain extra links from the manufacturer, and in this event, we will contact you to inform you of any possible delays or applicable charges.

Watches with bracelets adjusted by WatchNation are still eligible under our refund policy.

Option 2. Buy the watch online from WatchNation and have it adjusted locally

If you wish, you can have it adjusted locally by another jeweller or key cutter. However, you will have to cover the cost of this option yourself.
