Introducing the WatchNation Casio Edifice UK Exclusive. This stunning Casio Edifice watch draws it’s inspiration from Japanese motor racing. A form of racing that incorporates a perfect hybrid of performance and bold styling. This Casio Edifice is a perfect reflection of these key elements throughout its design.
That same feeling of excitement you get when strapping in your seat belt inside a performance vehicle, is felt when putting this watch on. Furthermore, the chronograph subdials resemble a car’s instrument cluster and give the wearer a connection to motor racing when it’s on their wrist. Also, the thick black bezel, held down by bold screws shares styling from some of the most striking custom rims on the road. Every detail of the watch is illustrative of Casio’s commitment to deliver a timepiece that has an authentic Japanese Motor Racing feel. The Casio Edifice EFR-569DC-1AVUEF is a perfect watch for any car fan who appreciates eye-catching designs.
More About The Watch:
The steel case measures at a width of 48mm and a thickness of 12mm, a common theme of Edifice models. The 48mm case is larger than the average watch bringing out its masculine side. The screws around the case seal up the dial providing it with a water resistance of 100 metres, perfect for any swimming and snorkeling style sports. The bezel of the watch is fixed, which adds to the durability of the watch. Additionally, the case is raised slightly providing extra protection to the mineral crystal glass. In-between each screw is a small black groove which gives the timepiece another dimension.
Furthermore, the crown can be seen at the 3 o’clock position with a guard on either side. This guard protects the crown from being knocked out of place during any sporting activities. The crown as well as two buttons either side are coated in a gold IP style.
This is a modern process that involves atomic sized energetic particles bombarding the surface in order to deposit a hard coating on to the surface. Experiments have shown that this method is up to eight times more durable than conventional methods. The bracelet has a width of approximately 20mm which complements the large case very well. It has a maximum length of 24cm which would even fit those built for the toughest of sports. The bracelet style is similar to that of the original Rolex Oyster with three links combining to make one. The bracelet is able to fasten securely through the use of a one touch three fold over clasp.
The dial hosts an analogue display with three hands for the hours, minutes and seconds. The Casio and Edifice logo are next to the 3 o’clock position which is a unique yet common alignment in Edifice watches. Just below the logo at the 4 o’clock position is an easy to read date window. Quartz SR920SW movement powers the stopwatch, alongside the hands. This battery allows the watch to have an accuracy of +-20 seconds per month. The luminous material that coats the golden indexes that sit around the edge of the dial allow for greater visibility at night. Additionally, on the chapter ring there are second markers that are adjacent to the index marker, which help complete the dial.
The rest of the dial features three sub-dials, making up a precise chronograph feature. This is where this watch really comes into its element with the ability to put it use for a quick run in the park or an intense 10,000 metre race at the Olympics. The measuring capacity is accurate down to a tenth of a second as seen in the dial positioned at 12 o’clock. The measuring capacity for this timepiece is one hour with three modes being available to choose from. The three modes are; elapsed time, split time and 1st and second place time.
