Luxury is an ever-present concept within timekeeping. It is flushed through advertising campaigns, dotted across an in-store salesperson’s selling routine, and, if industry conventions are to be believed, is a by-word for quality. But what if we were to challenge these preconceptions and wrestle back the idea of luxury, taking it from a universal standard to what is truly is: deeply personal and inherently subjective.
From this vision, Cestrian was born
BRINGING THE VISION TO LIFE
Backed by 60 years of retail experience and UK-based, this mantra to shake up the industry has translated into a ceaseless passion for crafting the best possible watches at the best possible prices. To achieve this the Cestrian team of true watch enthusiasts, partnered with Monro Design Studio, who brought to the table 35 years of expertise in timepiece design. Their matched commitment to perfecting the watchmaker’s art at every turn, leading to in-depth design meetings and the bespoke creation of several components. This was then matched by a superb manufacturing process and supply base.
The following two years were spent refining the Cestrian founding principles into watch form, an arduous and often challenging process that led to the creation of the first two Cestrian collections: The Dive and The Master.
EXPERTLY MADE AT EVERY TURN
No detail was considered too small to agonise over - is the lume on the dials correct, what is the quality of the sapphire glass, do we want the crown to sit there?
For design, we found ourselves repeatedly drawn to the classics, defined by their clean lines and timeless appeal.
Only then did we feel comfortable launching the first Cestrian watches. From here, our vision is only set to expand.
EXCEPTIONAL QUALITY AT AFFORDABLE PRICES
Cestrian is set up to serve only two things: what customers want and delivering the best value watches possible. To do so, we have limited avoidable costs at every turn, meaning we have the maximum amount available to invest into perfecting and expanding our range of watches. Outlined below are the steps we have taken to achieve this.
NO FLASHY MARKETING
The watch industry is now overrun with meaningless celebrity endorsements that speak nothing to the features of a watch and everything to the logo it bears. Equally so, the marketing initiatives these are part of are manipulative, telling people how to think and not letting the customer decide for themselves.
By not engaging in these activities, we can redirect funds towards continually refining the art of a Cestrian watch. It is the best we can do for our customers, and although it makes us outliers, that is a label we are proud to wear.
STREAMLINED SUPPLY CHAIN
Through the strong partnerships and several years of hard work, Cestrian has developed an efficient supply chain that is free from the kind of unnecessary expenditure that is too often passed onto the consumer via price hikes. The result is exceptional value watches that are available to all.

Cestrian watches never challenge the customer to make sacrifices - affordable doesn’t have to mean sub-par. Their mission from the outset has been to take materials from much higher price points and deliver them at a level not previously thought possible.
